Slots at Grosvenor Casino Reading South
Our slot floor at Grosvenor Casino Reading South has had a serious refresh. After recent investment in line with updated UK stake and prize limits, we now operate around 80 slot machines across the gaming area at Rose Kiln Lane, Reading RG2 0SN. In practical terms, that means roughly 60 extra cabinets on the floor compared to before, which is quite a step up rather than a minor tweak.
We run a mix of cabinet types. You will find classic style reel slots, modern video reel machines, and video poker terminals grouped into the electronic area. Titles such as Fishin’ Frenzy, Eye of Horus, Lucky Lady’s Charm and Cleopatra are part of the core line-up. These are well-known games with clear mechanics that regular players recognise, not just random titles added to hit a bigger number on paper.
| Slot Category | Example Titles |
|---|---|
| Video Reel | Eye of Horus, Fishin’ Frenzy |
| Classic / Traditional Reel | Lucky Lady’s Charm, Cleopatra |
| Video Poker | Available on electronic terminals |
| Electronic Gaming Terminals | Separate from main slot count |
The full gaming floor covers roughly 1,800 square metres. That size does matter in use - the slot area does not feel boxed in, even when the casino is busy. Machines sit alongside, not behind, the live table sections, so moving from a slot session over to roulette or blackjack is a short walk inside the same continuous space.
How to Play Slots at the Venue
You do not need to be a member to come in and play. We repeat this quite often to new visitors because a lot of people still assume UK casinos are “members only” by default.
Your visit starts at the Rose Kiln Lane entrance. Bring valid photo ID with you - we run age verification at the door as standard, as required for all UK casinos, and you must be at least 18 years old to enter. Once you are through reception, our team can direct you towards the slot bank if the layout is not instantly clear on first visit.
From that point, the process is simple enough:
- Pick a machine from the available cabinets. Each one shows the title and game type on the top box or main screen.
- Insert cash or use the ticket-in/ticket-out system where it is enabled on that machine.
- Adjust your stake size on the on-screen controls before you press spin, so you know exactly what you are betting. 4 . When you finish, collect your payout from the machine or ask a member of the floor team to help if you are unsure about cashing out.
We operate from around 6:00 AM through to roughly 5:45 AM the following day, with a short daily break for system resets. In practical terms, the casino is open and usable for almost the entire 24-hour cycle.
One small practical note: during peak evening periods, we usually see the busiest traffic around the table game zones. The slot section tends to have more available capacity, so getting a machine is often easier than people imagine when they first think about visiting.
Grosvenor Casino Reading South - What Else Is Here
Our slot floor is only one element of the Reading South venue. We also run full table game areas, with roulette and blackjack operating on a set timetable, normally starting from midday and continuing into the early morning. The poker room is a permanent space, fitted with 10 tables. We spread regular Texas Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha cash games, with scheduled Hold’em tournaments on top of that.
| Area | Details |
|---|---|
| Slot Machines | Approx. 80 machines post-expansion |
| Table Games | Roulette, Blackjack (midday to early hours) |
| Poker Room | 10 tables, Texas Hold’em and PLO cash games |
| Restaurant | On-site dining, bookable via OpenTable |
| Show Bar | Seated capacity 100, standing 250 |
| Gaming Floor Size | Approx. 1,800 sq metres |
Our Show Bar operates as a flexible private hire space. We work with minimum spend guidelines - typically from £500 on midweek dates and from £750 at weekends. These baseline figures move a little depending on the date and season, and corporate or larger group bookings are arranged directly with the venue team.
For food, we have an on-site restaurant with reservations handled through OpenTable. In day-to-day use, this simply means you are able to grab a sit-down meal without leaving the building between gaming sessions, which becomes more useful than it sounds once you are into the evening and do not want to reset your whole plan just to eat.
